Library cards: are free to Fairview Heights residents ages 3 and up. Two (2) proofs
of address are required. Library cards are honored at all other metro-east
public libraries. Non-residents may purchase local-use only (honored
only at Fairview Heights) cards for $70.00 per year, per household. |

| Friends of the Fairview Heights
Library are citizens convinced of the importance of an up-to-date, well
equipped and staffed library. They also believe in the value of reading
in the lives of young and old and look to the library as the educational
and informational center of the community. The Friends aid in developing
public knowledge of the library and in making it's resources and joys
better known to the community at large.
Friends Activities
- Meet quarterly, every 4th Friday
of January, April, August and October at 1 pm. All meetings
are held at the Library.
- Sponsor an annual book sale
and conduct other fund raisers to benefit the library.
- Arrange exhibits of items of
public interest.
- Sometimes assist at the library
with shelving, typing, clipping, filing, shelf reading and other helpful
duties.
